What we test

Details that real documents always get right

Container and ship numbers

Real container numbers carry a check digit, and so do ship IMO numbers. Invented ones usually fail the arithmetic.

Ports and dates

A port must be a port, not a country. Goods cannot ship in the future or arrive before they sail.

Weights and volume

Net cannot exceed gross, and cargo has to fit in the container type named.

Bank details

IBAN length and check digits, whether the BIC matches the IBAN's country, and whether the bank is in the company's country.

Codes and terms

HS chapters that exist, valid Incoterms for the transport mode, and the right format for VAT and EORI numbers.

Which scam it resembles

Failed checks are matched to known patterns, such as phantom shipments and payment diversion, so you know what to do next.

A failed check is a definite inconsistency. A clean result means we found none in the details you entered. It tests the document's details, not whether the goods exist, so confirm shipments with the carrier and payment details by phone on a number you already hold.
