Cashew Kernels
Cashew kernels are shelled cashew nuts, bought by snack makers, bakeries and confectioners. They are graded by size and colour, using grade names such as W240 and W320. Most African cashew leaves the continent as raw nuts in shell, which are already on the platform, and shelled kernels from African processors are the higher-value product. Buyers check grade, moisture, defects and food-safety test results.
