India–SACU Preferential Trade Agreement talks kicking off

India and the Southern African Customs Union (South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Eswatini, Lesotho) are moving toward negotiating a PTA, with Terms of Reference expected to be signed around mid-August. India wants preferential access for autos, auto components, and pharmaceuticals.
